Downloads: Multi-IMAuthor: GODJonez ( -email- ) ( http://xfireplus.com/ ) If you cannot connect to Xfire after installing Multi-IM, then download this exe and start it. It should fix the connection issue. It will remove the instruction Multi-IM creates for Xfire. Normally when you install Multi-IM, it forces Xfire to connect through the MI program instead of connecting directly to Xfire servers. If this instruction is not cleared automatically upon exiting MI for some reason, Xfire still tries to connect to the program but since it is not running, it can't connect at all. This program removes that instruction, letting Xfire to connect directly to its own servers again. Filesize: 39.53 kb | Downloads: 8948 | Report broken download

What it does is simply to take off the "127.0.0.1 cs.xfire.com " from "c:\windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts" if there is such entry, is it not? nice program tho.

For some people the Multi-IM seems to be unable to remove the line from the hosts file on exit, so they get stuck on not being able to connect.

It doesn't work for me.
I get a message saying "Multi-IM was found and removed. Xfire's DNS Cache has been erased. Xfire should now run properly." It doesn't work. Any ideas? |

Just so you guys, and gals, know... Original Xfire have IM support already... Just go to "settings" and then "third party" something... can't remember now.
Works completely, and they have support for AIM. (Though not for Yahoo!) |
